South Dakota First Capital is a venture capital firm which launched October 2024 to support the burgeoning economy of South Dakota and the broader heartland of the United States. We believe that the exceptional talent, technology, and resources present have created never-before-seen conditions to build incredible enterprises.
Geographic Focus: Priority given to companies based in South Dakota and surrounding states.
Types of Companies: We will invest in a broad range of industries such as: B2B and B2C Software, Medical Devices, Food Tech, Ag Tech, Animal Tech, Energy, Mining Tech, Manufacturing Tech, Gov Tech, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Cybersecurity.
We do not invest in Consumer Packaged Goods or Therapeutics.

Style: We aim to actively support our portfolio companies by providing more than just capital. We are committed to acquiring board member or board observer participation, always being available, providing strategic connections to academic, corporate, and venture partners and coaching/active management where needed.
